I started learning to play guitar when I was seven, and it has been my constant companion ever since. For the last 15 years, I have also been teaching and composing.

In 2025, I decided it was time to finally start publishing my music - if I enjoy playing it, then there may be other people out there who will, too!

I start my day with a coffee, looking out at the beautiful garden and playing my guitar. I have what I call my 'musical sketchbook' to hand, and this time is usually when the music flows best.

Sometimes a 'sketch' never becomes more than a motif of a couple of bars; other times I have a full-blown piece written in a few days.

I started playing the double bass when I was 16, and continue to perform with various rockabilly, country, doo wop and rock 'n' roll bands today.

I bought my first bass on a whim for £60 (!), without ever having played one. It was a life-defining decision, giving me the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and travel around the world.
