An English County Fair is a simple and fun piece to play. To me it has the feel of a country air and I can envisage Morris dancing at a local gathering, hence the title (although I suspect actual Morris dancers may disagree!). The off-beat notes are played on open strings, which means you have to find other places to play the on-beat notes. I like to slide up and down the strings, but you could also go across the strings and play in position. It’s a good piece for learning note positions higher up the fretboard. Tip: you will need to keep your fingers on tip toes to get clear notes on the open strings. This will be available until the next free piece replaces it. Enjoy!

To celebrate the website launch, I am giving away Carousel, the first piece from Away With Me, Along The Foolish Path.

It is a fairly simple piece, staying around first position, and could also be played as a duet.

You'll need to keep your fingers on tip toes and make sure you hold the notes - enjoy!

I am delighted to add Aquarius Rising to my portfolio for classical guitar. The three duets are calm and relaxing, reflecting the importance of friendship, the bright-eyed innocence of fresh beginnings and mindful inner peace.
